Thrifting

Today I went to a few thrift shops in hopes of finding something pretty, and I did. I brought home this beautiful green blouse which looked a little granny-like on the hanger, but once I put it on I really loved it. I also bought a thin red belt and a brooche of which I don't really know why I wanted it. Maybe it will come in handy one day?

To me the best places to look for vintage clothing are the small, charity driven thrift stores you find in almost every city. Although you have to go through a lot of ugly and/or smelly clothes, with a little luck you can find the best things and if you do, the prices are always better than you'd hope for. Although most of the better-known vintage stores in this area such as Episode or Jutka&Riska have more nice clothes and are better arranged, with a lot of the items being overpriced it lacks the thrill of finding a real treasure in a pile of ugliness, which makes thriftshopping half the fun. (Okay, that were two really looong sentences..)

There's nothing not to love about me

I'm very happy with my two new vintage blouses, especially the yellow one is fab, it's made out of a very nice fabric. And, the best part, they only cost me 2 euro each!

Big shoulders, red lips

Today's outfit wasn't super spectacular , but I went to the library with Kim, so we could both work on our thesis (I put the red lipstick on later though, before I went to see my boyfriend). Unfortunately, according to Elle magazine, we both suffer from 'procrastination', a very serious condition which means every time you start your pc to work on stuff for school, you end up surfing blogs and testing which dude from sex and the city you should date - apparently I should go for Harry - which I wouldn't mind at all, haha!

Longing for Fall

As stated earlier, I love fall, and now with every blog reporting about the new H&M fall/winter collection I really can't wait! I hope to get my hands on the coat in the picture above and the boots in the picture below (don't know if these are also H&M?)

Pink Lemonade

(Blazer Gina Tricot, all the rest H&M)

In a few minutes I'll be meeting some friends (including Laura) for french fries and icecream (hopefully with fresh strawberries!), so this is a quick post, enjoy the rest of your day!

Summer food

I'm not quite the summer person. At first when spring comes in, I'm looking forward to wearing lighter, summery clothes and spending more time outside. But then, after two hot days, I'm allready longing for autumn to come. Give me cold, gloomy weather and I'm happy!
What I do like about summer is the lighter food and the possibility to cook and eat outside. I'd love to have a nice balcony with a view to eat my breakfast on every morning, but for now i'll have to keep dreaming ;-)

Yesterday we grilled these sardines outside and enjoyed them with some pasta and salad.

From Russia with Love

                               (Image: Mode.feber.se)

After her all-red outfit, I am now officially in love with Russian it-girl Miroslava Duma's newest look. What a fantastic way to combine chique with glamour. I really want a blazer in that colour - guess I need to do some thrift shopping to find one to suit my budget. Looking fierce, girl!
