Sketchbook Magazine

I just discovered a London-based treasure I'd love to share with you, called Sketchbook Magazine. Its a quarterly magazine that is focused on upcoming talent in fashion, design and culture and filled with interesting and refreshing illustrations, editorials and articles. I was really happy to find out you can read it online, which meant another few hours not spent on my thesis today ;-)

The first of two existing issues is dedicated to fashionbloggers, which makes it even more desirable of course! I'd love to get my hands on a printed copy, which you can order here for 28$.
Check it out at www.sketchbookmagazine.com

Lady in red

                                                                              Photo: Hanneli via Columbine Smille

Miroslava Duma never fails to impress. Here, she looks absolutely stunning in a ton-sur-ton, all red outfit. While most of us would probably look like a giant tomato in this - nevertheless fantastic - outfit (or wouldn't we ladies?), Miss Duma manages to look oh-so cool and understated chic!

Feeling blue

Random picture just to show my new nailpolish. Bought it at H&M yesterday - it was the only thing I allowed myself to buy when I was in the city with Kim. As it is called "U must have this", I just couldn't resist!

It's a Pleasure

Yesterday we tried to do some shopping, but both suffering from the same problem (having to reconsider every Euro spent) we didn't bring home much.

As a substitute we enjoyed some fried fish - 'kibbeling' - at the market square and a delicious ice cappucino at the Douwe Egberts store.

This is also a great opportunity to introduce ourselves on this blog, so here we are:

The book club

One of my addictions in life is collecting fashion and art books. I just love to be inspired by all the pages with beautiful images  I can rarely leave a bookshop without snatching up one. This is a very small selection of my 'inspiration bibles', they are stashed everywhere in my room!

If I could turn back time

I love these black and white images, they have such a vintage feel to them. They make me long for glamorous and exotic, long lost times! The left image is from an editorial in Mirage, a French magazine which is absolutely fabulous. If you have a chance, you should really check it out!

Perfect Pastry

This is my favorite recipe for birthdays and other parties,
because it looks delicious, and it's very easy to make.

Oh Oui, Paris!

I don't know why but the atmosphere in Paris feels so different than in all other cities I've ever been. It's really a shame I don't go more often, as it's only four hours away.. So I guess I'll make it my goal to go at least once more this year!

Get the look - Chloé Fall 2010

I'm totally in love with Chloé's fall collection! Hannah MacGibbon outdid herself again! I too want to be wearing warm beiges and neutrals this fall, thrown in the mix with the occasional denim and cognac coloured accent here and there.
