Wake up and smell the coffee

No better way to kick off your day than a nice magazine and some strong coffee (especially when it's drunk from a leopard printed cup!). The magazine is called S Magazine, I don't know anything about its background - only that it's Scandinavian - but I do know that it's very cool.

Mad About You

I bought this nailpolish at H&M without high expectations, but now I might have found a new favorite. The best part is that it was only 1 euro :)

Blackout

Yesterday night there was a blackout in my street, so with no internet or tv available anymore I decided to just go with it. I lit some candles and installed myself in bed with a book and some music, very cosy! Maybe there should be more blackouts because with no distractions from technology (internet in particular ;-) ) I finally picked up a book again.

Chocolate Heaven

Laura and I were definitely in for a treat after we spent a whole day in the library to work on our theses, so we went to Coffeelovers for a nice latte macchiato. But then our eyes caught this slice of chocolate cheesecake which we both couldn't resist.
This must be one of the most delicious things I ever ate in my life! OMG! Eating this makes every problem dissapear, haha! (Unfortunately this feeling doesn't last. As soon as my plate was empty, the only thing I could hope for was not to explode)

Little Green, be a Gypsy Dancer

This blouse is so comfortable I wish I could wear it every day this summer. Unfortunately it has to be washed now and then, and moreover it would be a bit odd if I did. The whole outfit is h&m, except for the necklace which is my mothers.

The editorial shot by Will Davidson for Russh #34 is absolutely stunning, and so is this video.
This music with these images really get under your skin.

Thrifting

Today I went to a few thrift shops in hopes of finding something pretty, and I did. I brought home this beautiful green blouse which looked a little granny-like on the hanger, but once I put it on I really loved it. I also bought a thin red belt and a brooche of which I don't really know why I wanted it. Maybe it will come in handy one day?

To me the best places to look for vintage clothing are the small, charity driven thrift stores you find in almost every city. Although you have to go through a lot of ugly and/or smelly clothes, with a little luck you can find the best things and if you do, the prices are always better than you'd hope for. Although most of the better-known vintage stores in this area such as Episode or Jutka&Riska have more nice clothes and are better arranged, with a lot of the items being overpriced it lacks the thrill of finding a real treasure in a pile of ugliness, which makes thriftshopping half the fun. (Okay, that were two really looong sentences..)
